Sharks killing

We got used to get the messages that sharks kill people. But people forget that we kill sharks more often, so often that some species became extinct. The organizations on nature protection consider this problem to be the most important ecological catastrophe of the seas.

In the result of sharks hunting and killing not only the sharks are trapped and killed but also a great number of other inhabitants of the ocean and turtles in particular.

The big hook is usually used to hunt the shark. This hook is covered with the smelling substance and is put into the water either from the boat or the yacht. Then the mixture of ground fishes is poured into the water. Sharks attracted by the smell get to the place very quickly and swallow the hook. Sometimes the live bait is put on the hook.

Finning is one of the most spread ways of sharks hunting. The fishermen cut the fins of the live sharks (because they are of the great value). Animals fall at the bottom of the sea after being thrown outboard and die suffering a lot. And the most awful is not even such practice but the waste of the resources. Millions disappear when the fins make only 6-8% of the whole body.

The new laws say that the fins must be cut at the seaside and not in the sea. In such way it is possible to decrease the profitableness because fishermen boats have one at least two places for the fishes.
